The Cause.

At Ranger, we believe marketing should do more than just sell - it should tell stories that matter. So when Frida & Mikael Backlund of the Calgary Flames and Alberta Apparel reached out to collaborate on a meaningful project for the ALS Society of Alberta, we didn’t hesitate.

The project centred around a limited-edition hoodie designed to raise awareness and funds for ALS, a progressive neurodegenerative disease. The design featured the blue cornflower, a national symbol of hope for those living with ALS. Known for thriving in harsh conditions, the cornflower stands as a powerful metaphor for resilience, strength, and beauty even in the face of adversity.

The Challenge & Impact.

50% of all revenue from the hoodie went directly to the ALS Society of Alberta, helping fund critical services like mobility and communication equipment, caregiver support, and access to essential resources. Every purchase helped improve the quality of life for someone living with ALS.

Design something that not only embodied the strength of those affected by ALS but also inspired everyone to live more intentionally, to make memories, to cherish the moment, and to support each other.
